I follow the British prime minster on Twitter. Actually, I follow someone on the prime minister's staff who 'tweets' as "10 Downing St." Not a bad idea really for a politician to send out little notes on what he or she is up to. The dignitaries being feted.The functions attended. Of course, it all has to be done with an occasional sense of humour.

A tweet a few minutes ago directed followers to 10 Downing's reaction to a campaign to elect the opinionated British auto journalist Jeremy Clarkson as prime minister . . . on YouTube. Why not?
